''Grove Parkers should have no authority to decide'' you say You do not seem to understand how CPZs and petitions work perhaps. R of Harvard and Grove parkers etc have no ''authiority to decide'' on anything - the councillors decide. They may or may not listen to local residents in they usually do. I would guess that if the Harvard road residents oppose this petition in numbers they will be heard. You should note that the North of A4 counculiors can vote if they wnat to on the Griove Park CPZ right or wrong, and vica versa. the various NOrth if A4 CPZs seems to leave empty spaces and are pushing more cars across to the south, just wtach them park theri cars and walk back north as we do - so why should we not ''raise the issue'' in a petition - that is hardly ''deciding'' anything . We need not to wastse parking spaces anywhere - it just pts pressure on spaces residents need. just look at Dukes avenue for example - it could take 20 more spaces easy I am not sure your reply for me '' clears it up'' - even if all the petitioners are ''grove parkers'' you make us sounds like foreigners - we have a right to ask ( not decide) that the North release more spaces so less cars are pushed over to us? seems fair? |
