| I share the frustration with illegal pavement parking but I should point out that there is a small section of pavement in Thames Road, opposite the shops, where parking with two wheels on the pavement is allowed because the Road is so narrow. The two wheels should be on the tarmac strip, not the paving stones, which supposedly gives room for a pedestrian. I do not believe that the CPZ proposals suggest altering this. Maybe illegal pavement parking elsewhere might be affected if there were enforcement officers. |
