We should not forget that Councillors are our elected representatives. That means that they are elected to represent the views of the people of Chiswick. The People of Chiswick clearly do not want CPZ. It it therefore the job of the Councillors to ensure it does not happen. However they seem intent on voting for the CPZ. Can I suggest that we find out which Councillors vote which way,and publish this broadly. It is about time these people were held to account. In the event that they are not accountable, history shows us that this is where Mob Rule can come in. Could it be that they already know the result?? It would explain their fear of Mob Rule, which incidentally in Chiswick sounds like an Ealing Studio's film. Perhaps that is the answer get a film crew down there and film the councillors and the "Mob". I'd pay to see it and the money could go to improving the roads, which is of course the real problem. But then that costs money and the Council has spent it all on their salaries and index linked pensions. Nick |
