| What I didn’t tell you earlier… is the terrible effect that my experience in Harvard Rd had on me today… It’s the first time I’d been to Harvard Rd… I didn’t think anything at first… then, as I looked around at the vast open spaces (all parking spaces) it dawned on me that I hadn’t seen anyone… no-one on the street, at a doorstep, at a window… no-one anywhere… just vast open space, suitable for parking cars in… Suddenly, I remembered that I was supposed to be in a place just a stone’s throw away from Elmwood Rd… this is when I began to lose my mind… “has a nuclear bomb gone off?”, I asked myself… “Have I been ‘transported’ to ‘another place’” …it then crossed my mind that the ground might slide open and reveal a Russian Space Centre… like in a James Bond film… but this was for real… “Will I be taken prisoner?”… it was at this point I panicked… I hadn’t even taken all of my pictures… I just ran back to the car and screeched off at great speed… Upon arriving home, out of breath and sweating profusely, I checked the internet and teletext to find out what had happened in Harvard Rd… but nothing… … it must be me… going mad… insane… it’s to the quacks now for a full check-up… |
