. If this is really a problem for you, convert your "front garden" into a parking space and ask the council for a dropped pavement. You should get it. That way, the problem gets fixed at your expense, not mine (or everyone else's). Yes, if you have the space, paving over your front garden will fix your parking problem, and reduce the street parking by the length of the dropped curb. Many GP Residents will be VERY reluctant to part with their front gardens but introducing a CPZ will encourage A LOT MORE residents to pave over their Gardens. This becomes ugly and disfigures a street..an area..our community, and removes A LOT MORE street parking spaces. This puts even more pressure on say SOTG where a lot of folk have not the option of a dropped curb. |
