that is 67% of those households WHO RESPONDED, but it is only 32% of all houses in the road have actually stated that they WANT a CPZ. Actually this discussion started as a reference to the slightly over 50% who didn't bother to respond last time, but who hopefully will have done so this time. Anyway, it is all fairly pointless arguing about stats because regardless of which streets actually "want a CPZ" (and it will be interesting to see if they are the same ones after this latest survey), the scheme is going to impact on the entire area, and the vast majority of people in the area do not want one. Excluding those without a problem from the previous survey was totally undemocratic, when the whole process is clearly going to have such a large effect on everyone. |
