It's odd, but I thought that the reason that this second consultation was going ahead was because the original questionnaire indicated a 'majority' of people in certain roads were in favour of CPZ. Now suddenly what the majority wants doesn't count. There is one solution to all this, but you won't like it. Bankrupt the scheme. If the council introduce CPZ, simply don't buy a permit, and get rid of your car or park elsewhere. Ealing council have recently said that the cost of CPZ MUST be borne by those that benefit, if Hounslow do the same then those few people who want the CPZ will end up paying all the costs themselves. |
