Jane, I find some of the content of your posts quite insulting towards me. I'm used to dealing with far worse (it comes with the job), but the condescending, patronising, damn right rude and disrespectful nature of some of your posts is not something you see that often on here - fortunately. Let's keep this simple so you don't rudely shout at me again, and remember, just because you don't agree with something, there's no need to shoot the delivery boy... Neither local government planning officers, nor private planning consultants, write national planning policy. Councils and Consultants are however supposed to ensure that applications, proposals and local planning policies and guidance accord with national planning policy. Central government, namely the Department of Communities and Local Government and previously the Department of the Environment, draft planning policies, which has to go through Parliament etc before it becomes legislation. So, your 'beef' is with central government... Secondly, as I explained to Nick, the various components of Localism will still, by law, have to 'submissive' to national planning policy. I hope that is simple enough for you. |
