Jane, I don't care two hoots about the CPZ you're all talking about because I don't live anywhere near it. That was what I meant, it's obvious my words were meant in that context, so don't try to twist them. I dismiss your ideas as 'cloud cuckoo land' because I know national planning policy - I (and indeed no local authority planners) didn't personally draft it, that's central government, and whilst national policy policies is regularly reviewed/amended etc. the drive away from private car ownership is not a new thing. And, because I know national planning policy, I know that there is no realistic change of your ideas ever seeing the light of day. That isn't intended as a lack of respect - it's simply reality. Next time I may as well say nothing and let you (and others) waste your time and energy on some idea that hasn't got a hope in hell. And then you'd say "shame no-one bothered to point that out before". Bloody typical, try to be informative, try to be helpful, and you get accused of a lack of respect etc. Some people... :-( |
