| Thanks for this helpful info. Mind you this planning policy is very flawed - paying for car clubs and 'encouraging people to use Public Transport' etc sounds a bit limp and surely simply means (if anyone is listening) that the residents of the developement leave thir cars at home (clogging up the streets ouside their new garageless flat). If the planners really wanted to follow through they would have to stipulate that no-one can purchase a flat in the planned development unless they prove they don't have a car! Thus the resident suffers and the developer is laughing his way to the bank - doubtless in Surrey somewhere .... In other words the thinking behind this policy is doomed to failure. |
