I'm finding this confusing: Mohsen Nekouzad tells us a CPZ "We would not impose a scheme where it is not wanted". This is indeed what we were repatedly told from the start. Let us be clear - THERE IS NO MAJORITY IN FAVOUR OF A CPZ IN TH WESTERN CLUSTER. Most of us DO NOT WANT IT. On what basis are you discerning what is not wanted if you choose to ignore the marity of residents who DO NOT WANT IT? There is no general support for the CPZ in the Western Cluster. There only seems to be Spring Grove and Geraldine Rd who want it. There is no majority in any other road as far as I know. So, given Mohsen Nekouzad's assurances on what basis can the Councillors even consider going ahead? If they are not planning to take any notice of a majority - how on the earth can they assure us that if we don't want it it won't happen. It's irrelevent whether it's the revenue etc or not - what matters is that Counciloors and the Council keep their promise: "We would not impose a scheme where it is not wanted". |
