At the A4 end of Rivercourt they now have a couple of the most misunderstood signs in the Highway Code - the small low-flying motorbike 'No Access' sign - but they're not easy to see from the A4 as they're at right angles to it, and there's no physical indication on the road, such as a partial road narrowing. At the moment they do have a couple of temporary advance warning signs about a restriction in Rivercourt Road, but that's not all that helpful as many people just know it as 'that road they go down off the A4' rather than by its name. It would be far safer to put a barrier across the A4 end and remove any confusion - but that would also remove any income for the Council! |
