I can see the need for restrictions but would have thought access should be for residents of Rivercourt and their visitors . Allowing all residents of LBHF to have access creates an unfair two tier system that purports to be putting local people first but is really just a sop or bribe to the LBHF electorate. Because of Council boundaries many many people are more‘ local ‘ than most LBHF residents. The restriction allows residents of say the north of Emlyn Road to avoid a congested Chiswick lane but not those of Netheravon or British Grove. Or it allows someone who lives in Wood Lane (or anywhere in LBHF) to use Rivercourt to avoid congestion at Hammersmith Broadway but not someone who lives off Holland Park Avenue. The residents of LBHF of course are not subject to any similar restrictions in neighbouring boroughs. Local schemes in Hounslow for example are not open to all Hounslow residents. |
