| The only issue I can see with the changes is to force more traffic to use Chiswick Lane as the junction with traffic coming off from the flyover is pretty dangerous. I am guessing that traffic lighting the junction is a non-starter. Of course a sensible solution to the Chiswick Lane junction issue could be tricky - Hammersmith & Fulham will not care that their changes effect Chiswick Lane - that is Hounslow Council's problem. And as the A4 is controlled by TfL or National Highways at the point of the junction they probably will not bother about Hounslow's problem either. But apart from this one issue, if H&F want to trial the road closure then they should do so, especially if local residents want it. Lets see what other knock on problems, if any, emerge before deciding one way or the other permanently |
