I'm genuinely sorry to hear about you receiving a PCN for making the sort of mistake that plenty of drivers might make. LBHF are better than most in that they sometimes send out warning letters rather than automatically issuing PCNs from day 1, but even if they did this with the Rivercourt Road restriction the grace period wouldn't be as long as two months. There should be proper signage on the A4 - next time I'm driving that way I'll see what I think of it. I really wish that councils were mandated to issue a warning rather than a PCN for 'first' moving traffic offences for newly introduced restrictions within say 6 months of introduction. |
