You really can't help inventing things, can you Francis? Where are those forum references that back up your claims about me supporting the scheme then? As I've said before, you start with your prejudices then work backwards to construct a fantasy that justifies them. Challenging the crap spouted by virtual human centipede posters on chiswickw4 is not the same as support. I was indifferent about the Hogarth scheme. To repeat, I didn't even bother responding to the consultation. Some 'rearguard action on behalf of the plan'. To trade your anecdotes with mine, I've been past the Rivercourt junction about 50 times since the measures were introduced as part of a daily commute and occasional weekend trip. I've yet to encounter a car entering the road. My perception compared to the 100s times I've been past the junction prior to the measures and since C9 was created is improved safety. Reduction of the number of vehicles crossing the cycle lane will improve safety. I will await LBHF traffic surveys with interest, but it is highly likely that the numbers of vehicles entering Rivercourt will be a lot less than the other junctions off C9. The postcode database only shows 10 addresses on Rivercourt N of the A4 and that is considerably less than any of the other streets on the route where vehicles cross C9 at an unsignalled junction to access the street. I expect LBHF will use collision data to inform their decision. Certainly not what you think. However it is fair to say that I do hold you in some contempt - I think you are just a bullsh****r (in case someone complains about bad language). |
