Francis, I happen to have the traffic surveys done by LBHF on Rivercourt and Weltje prior to implementation of the Rivercourt restriction. These recorded every vehicle 24x7 for a period of 2 weeks. Could those who have made 'observations' post an hourly traffic count along with the time and day and I will tell them just how it compares to the traffic previously. Of course, I don't expect anyone to actually do this because opinions based upon anecdotes seem to be the favoured approach of some posters on this forum. Indeed, I really don't know why LBHF bother with traffic surveys when all they need is the opinions of the chiswickw4 brains trust. You made a basic maths mistake with your figures on delays and you ignored the disclaimer regarding DfT estimates so when you aren't inventing things on the basis of no evidence, you mangle and distort data that is available. Claims about the junction being 'no safer' falls into the category of inventing things as there is no data available on collisions since the changes were made. I trust that LBHF will be making decisions about Rivercourt based upon evidence rather than the doom loops of chiswickw4 carbrains. |
