I thought the road was going to be changed to allow access (to LBHF residents only of course) to the A4, when I saw the map but it's clear from the signage at the location that getting onto the A4 from Rivercourt isn't permitted ... there is a big NO ENTRY sign. While I might have some sympathy for someone used to coming off the A4 at Rivercourt Road doing so and getting fined, absolutely no sympathy for someone getting fined a second time if they enter Rivercourt Road and then turn round and drive back onto the A4. Hopefully LBHF will issue warning letters in the first few weeks ... that's what they've said they will be doing with the School Zone LTN that's just at the top of my road, which prevents drivers (including me) driving past the school entrance for 90 minutes in the morning and also during the afternoon. And, even though it mildly inconveniences me every once in a while, I fully support its introduction - safety of the school children is far more important than a small inconvenience to a car driver. |
