Mark, your kind assumption that I have a life may be misplaced. I did, when these new restrictions were announced, experiment with Sat Nav to see what destinations approaching from the A4 would cause it to direct me up Rivercourt Road. There were none outside the Hammersmith area. It had occurred to me at the time that I had never actually driven up Rivercourt Road which is why I was curious. Now two months on, every time I pass the location, there are vehicles coming out of the road. I do not need to conduct a count over an hour to confirm that the claim by the council that 80% were out of borough commuters was misleading as it would have led to about a 90% reduction in traffic. This clearly hasn't happened so I think it is reasonable to conclude that my original assumption, that most of the vehicles using this road had a final destination in Hammersmith, was correct. |
