| Francis, though notionally a discussion forum, as you can see its actually not free to post on certain topics. Unless one is pre qualified by the self appointed thread monitors then all suggestions and inputs are dismissed as useless and you will be labelled a 'Onesie', petrol head, apparently having a favourite rat run. All sorts of ludicrous labels that are intended to shut down all debate and ensure no dissent from the chosen path. The latest is Michael's ingenious creation of a 'car brain'. How does he know who has one, is there something about being a cyclist and car driver (as many of us are) that uniquely allows Michael and a select group not to have one? The issue is not just with another relatively minor closure, but the cumulative effect across a wide area of road restrictions and changes to junction capacity that have a material impact on road capacity. Especially as many of thos key junctions were already operating close to capacity.Hogarth roundabout and Hammersmith gyratory are two good examples of this. Addressing this would need a coherent joined up approach across boroughs. Its funny how one minute we hear CS9 has reduced pollution, but when queues along Chiswick Lane are mentioned this is irrelevant. Of course there are no pollution monitors there. Michael now says H&F value the views of residents? So why not have meaningful engagement from LBH with local residents? |
