| Richard That is quite correct. Many of our major power, gas, water, hospitals, airports and transport companies are now owned by French, German and Spanish companies. Many of our central and local government services have been contracted out to firms from other EU countries. EU companies have been allowed to bid for all Public Procurement contracts in the UK for many years. So far this seems to be rather one way traffic. British companies do not seem to be very interested in bidding for power, gas, water, hospitals, airports and transport companies and central and local government services contracts in other EU countries. |
