| The number of zeroes is very significant. in fact so big that they are beyond the comprehension of most people who are not trained economists - including obviously Gordon Brown - who is of course not a trained economist. Unfortunately the huge increase in the National Debt presided over by Spendthrift Gordon Brown has to be paid for. So will the huge public sector Private Finance Initiative debts which are not included in the National Debt. This inevitably will lead to higher taxes, higher interest rates and higher inflation. In due course, radical surgery, a la Margaret Thatcher after Wilson/Callaghan, will be required. Labour loves to spend our money buying our votes and build up huge debts. Then in due course a Conservative Government has to do the unpopular and painful job of sorting out the mess. |
