| A few Hundred thousand shareholders from a population of over 60 million are still just a few! I personally have no shares not because of lack of cash at the time but because I felt it insulting to be allowed to buy what was already mine and my children’s and their children’s. I no longer feel that I have a share in the wealth beneath my feet when I walk this land; it’s not mine it belongs to corporation Britain. All of the companies mentioned could have made more profits if the right people had been in charge. If there was any real problem with nationalisation it was down to cronyism and ineptitude within both the managerial appointments and union representation, not with the notion of the wealth of the land for ALL the people of the land. |
