| Phillip I share your concerns about the authoritarian and non-democratic tendencies in the Labour Party. The lack of kaedership election is just one of them. The Falklands War was fought 25 years ago to defend the freeddom and democracy of the British Falkland Islanders. Britain's victory in that War lead to freedom and democracy in Argentina. It was a great achievement which has not been properly commemorated by the present government - probably because it would invite comparisions between Margaret Thatcher (who defended freedom and won her very necessary wars) and Tony Blair (who cares little for freedom and has involved this country in an unnecessary and unwinnable war). |
