| Absolute nonsense - Thatcher caused the conflict by penny pinching on RN support - that is why her colleagues resigned (to cover for her) - read the transcript of the Commons debate on the Saturday for a real feel of what was happening - all the time the taskforce was steaming south - General Alex Haig was negotiating with Galtieri - lucky for Thatcher Galtieri refused the solution Haig put forward (she was lucky with her enemies - Scargill for example!) our armed forces, merchant navy and civilian back-up were superb - Thatcher was a chancer who got lucky as history will judge. God rot her for the damage she did. |
