Ah yes. One of the three Chiswick anti car fanatics has confirmed that the tree was killed so to make way for a temporary cycle lane and so that he could burn it in his wood burning stove!! Obviously hasn't a clue about the impact of wood burning stoves on the environment which is allegedly at least three times more than cars.
