| Michael - I think your hitting the nail on the head. The cycle lobby are trying to sell the joy of cycling. Yet they appear, as you point out, unwilling to go the extra mile for a quieter or more scenic route. They don’t want to take in the scenery, it’s head down, full pelt and really don’t want to deal with traffic lights. So why is C9 so special to them.with all the lights and safety issues, they’re still trying to iron out after all this time. It’s the reason it’s still temporary” because it’s not passing the safety tests. I’d say it’s all about getting at the motorists, making life difficult where and when possible. No matter the financial cost and now the loss of a beautiful piece of nature that was also an environmentally beneficial tool. There arguments are falling apart, thanks in no small part to you. |
