| I think even some local cyclists are against the High Road cycle lane and would prefer the A4 option. Chiswick High Road is not the right place for this bi directional cycle lane, it is not working regardless of all the tweaks. The loss of the bus lane is a disaster and the floating bus stop an abomination. I don't care how many others there are. I've seen videos of others where cyclists are passing at ridiculous speeds. Just because it's not a one off doesn't make it ok. I am not against cycle lanes where they work. Along the Great West Road they're great although again many cyclists don't use them, the reason given was that it was faster on the road. I'm sorry to keep repeating myself but cyclists are never satisfied. |
