| Tom Pike suggested "As you feel cyclists shouldn't use main roads " Clearly the concept of FREEDOM is totally alien to you. As I've pointed out more than once people are FREE to choose. If they choose to use a road with the most collisions, then they're perfectly FREE to do so. He then went on.. " Otherwise you appear to be willing to accept that cyclists either have to put up with long detours or face risk of injury. That looks rather like an anti cycling position, whether or not you're willing to admit it." If cycling is as "enjoyable" experience as many cyclists claim, presumably including both yourself and my self - then what exactly is there to "put up with" in taking long detours ? From the tenor of such remarks one might almost be led to believe that you personally don't actually enjoy cycling at all. That it's something you simply have to "put up with" But what's even worse, you're demanding that others should have to "put up with it" as well. michael adams ... |
