| “an experimental cycle lane that may well come out when they realise it still doesn't work and cyclists prefer the road and the pavement as they always have.” I think your hopes there are misplaced, as we now have months of bike counts on the High Road that show that cyclists prefer using the bike lane over the roadway. And I’m surprised to see you joining Steve in blaming cyclists for the injuries and deaths they suffer. It’s women who are disproportionately bearing the brunt, and who you both feel are undeserving of any protection. |
