| That's an interesting point about the lack of level boarding at TG. Perhaps that's one of the criterion used by TfL when making these decisions. This would explain the total lack of step free provision on this section of the line. Talk of a reorganisation of the west ends of the District and Piccadilly line has gone very quiet and can we not just assume it is dead in the water due to lack of funding? Similarly the signalling upgrade looks a dim prospect. I can't claim to speak for people with disabilities in Chiswick but it will be deeply frustrating for them if there is no prospect within a decade or more of change. While preference for Gunnersbury or TG probably will depend on the individual's proximity to the station everybody would see it as significant progress if just one station in Chiswick was step free. |
