Original statement; "Further, a couple of traders on Turnham Green Terrace kindly provided me with their turnover figures for the period of the most intensive restrictions during COVID and both sets of figures showed no discernible change when parking was withdrawn." Inflated statement; "Jeremy, you have overlooked that I was citing direct evidence from local retailers. There was no sign of a reduction in footfall, turnover or covers when parking spaces were removed, either on TGT or the Old Market Place." Adrian, the two statements are completely consistent, but the second also includes the data from the hospitality outlet on the High Road. What exactly do you regard as "inflated"? "What I am tired of is people conflating clearly flawed "evidence" into something that it isn't just to fit an agenda." Indeed, Cllr Biddolph's used her flawed analysis of the data to support her agenda that this parking was essential to Chiswick retail. |
