| "only a hypothesis" A hypothesis can sometimes be proved to be true though. And a hypothesis can sometimes be proved to almost certainly be true, given that you can determine the likelihood that it isn't true. E.g. someone must have hypothesised there are an infinite number of prime numbers and it is trivial to prove this must be true. |
