| The Council should decide because they are the elected authority with the accountability to do so. They have responsibility for improving the town centre. You’ve very quickly decided to ignore a trader who is telling you the street could be improved with more car restrictions. Not so keen on listening to the traders all of a sudden. And TGT just has a permanent long line of through cars travelling southbound with pedestrians confined to narrow ledges and people queuing at shops breathing in their noxious fumes. You’d have to have no imagination whatsoever to see the opportunity for a better pedestrian and shopping experience there …., all you are doing is proving my point about the need for a responsible authority to ignore the reactionaries who would spite themselves and everybody else to avoid any and all change. You sort out step free access instead of telling other people what they can and can’t campaign for. |
