| Paul what a nasty comment, when I first moved to chiswick Devonshire road was a no go street, except for the pet shop and fabulous french restaurant Devonshire road developed along with cars using the road and it was wonderful for many years. The real issue is rent and business rates are crazy for such small outlets. My view business rates should be zero in this street and commercial rents affordable. No option to convert to residential so the greedy landlords have no option but to offer sensible rents. If an outlet is empty then the landlord has to pay silly rates that would stop greedy landlords. |
