| You opened the street back up to through cars and destroyed the obvious potential we all experienced that was created by the traffic restrictions. The arrangements for people to use their cars to stop and shop were actually better than they are now. Some of you did it because you believe car is king and don’t care about pollution, climate change or road safety. Some of you did it because you didn’t have the courage to stand up to people like that who shortly after sold their businesses and left you in the mess of your own creation. You all did this together. And the people campaigning for positive change are happy to leave you to it now and don’t really want to shop there any more either. If the traders want to make the street better they’re going to have to do it themselves and can’t rely on successful campaigners any more. I’m certainly done with trying to help you from yourselves, You can lead the horse to water but you can’t make it drink. Same for TGT. What a horrendous traffic sewer that has become thanks to the same limited vision of traders, some residents and the Chiswick Conservatives. |
