| Richard, if you consult some dictionaries for the definition of "motorway", for example Cambridge says "a wide road for fast-moving traffic, especially in the UK, Ireland, and some other countries, with a limited number of places at which drivers can enter and leave it". Other dictionaries (Collins, Oxford) have similar definitions. That sounds pretty like the A4 through Chiswick. You can apply the definition in whatever the UK legislation happens to be, but all that says is that you are completely missing the point from the original discussion. Clearly in the Richard Greenhough approach of debate, not respecting the exact UK legislation for road traffic regulations immediately deserves the type of response a 5 year old would come out with. Why didn't you say something like "Your mum is so stupid, she doesn't even know section 17 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984".* * I don't know what the legislation is but I'm sure Richard does, obvs. |
