| Yawn. Do you really think LTNs combat climate change? You’d be better off lobbying for the closure of Heathrow airport. Or do aviation emissions not count. And on ‘balance’ and ‘local’ you are correct that they are subjective, but then so are the arguments about ‘essential journeys’ and all the other supposed benefits of closing roads. People still have to get around. People still want their Amazon deliveries and supermarket shopping brought to their doors. Perhaps those people ought to be re-educated as well and forced to go on foot or by bike to whatever the nearest shop is to take those unnecessary vehicles off the roads. |
