| I think traffic on the A4 through Chiswick increased from circa 75K vehicles per day in 2008 to circa 100K per day in 2019. https://roadtraffic.dft.gov.uk/manualcountpoints/26116 The OP and others argue that it has increased further due to displacement from LTNs and probably cycle lanes, so I expect it must be 125K per day by now? Putting that to one side, I wonder how many people in 2019 argued that the increase in traffic and pollution on the A4 was unfair to the poor people (in both senses) who lived on this "residential road". Was there a significant number saying that this traffic should instead be diverted through Grove Park so that pollution is redistributed among rich people too as that's only fair? |
