| Simon, the original revision by the DfT that showed an increase in minor-road traffic came out in September 2020: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/916749/road-traffic-estimates-in-great-britain-2019.pdf That's two months after Ealing announced introduced their LTNs in July 2020, which you subsequently stated were in response to the DfT minor-road counts. I'm sure LBE cited ratrunning in justifying the introduction of the LTNs, but that's not what I took issue with but rather your false claim regarding the DfT statistics while you ironically claimed I was restating "false facts". As for the South Parade traffic counts, my point was that the vast majority of traffic heading down from South Parade was travelling to the High Road, not Bollo Lane. In fact it turns out 94% of that traffic is heading to the High Road from the data I first examined. You claimed that number were "suspiciously low" and suggested I cherry picked a day to prove my point. I just had a look back at the data, and there is a second day of traffic counts, a weekday, and that gives exactly the same 94% value: https://www.ealing.gov.uk/download/downloads/id/17103/12_chiswick_pk_stn_and_fishers_lane_jtcs_29_apr_2021.xlsm Evidently you are more interested in making false claims, or repeating others false claims, to try to bolster your position rather than basing your views on the evidence. |
