| I prefer to go by what I have experienced the last 12 months v pre Fishers Lane closure. Ie the real world experience when going about day to day life. Tom, you now acknowledge that before I wasn’t adding much to traffic on South Parade with that journey whereas it now does. The same goes for anyone shopping at Sainsburys who previously used Fishers Lane and now fights through the traffic of South Parade rather than going to Acton Morrisons instead. Common sense does not dictate that most traffic would have diverted along South Parade to access Fishers Lane, certainly not for any great length of it as it previously percolated via The Orchard, Esmond, Ramillies, St Albans etc to it whereas now all such traffic is funnelled along South Parade. A child’s diagram posted by Paul attempting to claim traffic evaporation takes no account of specific circumstances and totally misrepresentative of the real world. |
