| If placebo buttons, why spend the money to install? Also imbecilic is the design of some intersections where you wait for a light to change, make the turn, only to be confronted by another light not in sync. Dumb. The lack of a dedicated turn signal? Being allowed to turn on a red when clear? Those would keep traffic flowing especially as the population of London grows. Interesting the jaywalking video mentioning how people are the cause of all reactions around them. That goes for any road user. Like the selfish cyclists on their phone adjacent to the actual cycle lane, the guy seated on an e-unicycle going along the A40 and/or the guy on the e-unicycle who essentially falls backwards to slow down and, as mentioned, people crossing with noise-cancelling headphones and no eyes looking around. The cause of many incidents isn't always the people immediately around you. And yes, all manner of driving also imbecilic. I think behavior and common sense are all to often the cause of many issues but often ignored or addressed. Piled e-bikes anyone? |
