“ Interesting that those on here advocating closing George Street don’t live there and probably rarely go there.” Precisely my thought because obviously it would never work. It’s a ridiculous thought and those advocating it are just morons intent on trying to wind me up so it’s good to humour the fools once in a while. The reason Richmond works so well for pedestrians and motorised traffic, and makes it the happiest place to live in London, is the total absence of cycle lanes. Richmond also has the lowest crime rate in London and it’s a known fact that pedestrianised High Streets increase crime rates. |
