This isn't what they teach at schools” I’m not suggesting it for school children but I’m definitely (100%) suggesting it for able bodied adults who could easily cross a road without being hit by a cyclist or a motorist. I guess we have to accept that as a Nanny State it’s a bit much for parents or schools to teach children to look left, look right then look left again, before crossing a road, as was taught for decades! I guess you are saying that parents are now telling their kids to press the button to stop all traffic irrespective of the fact that there may be no traffic. However, I am also mentioning the totally unnecessary pressing of pedestrian crossing buttons as one of the reasons bus speeds have been reduced to under 9mph. I’m merely contributing to the subject of this thread. Probable reasons! |
