The original plans were for C9 to continue along the length of CHR to Chiswick roundabout then in 2015, the plans were changed for the route to be along Heathfield Terrace/Wellesley Rd because removing about a mile of protected cycle lane along CHR meant the route could reach Hounslow town centre within the allocated budget.
