| Yes, the correct way to cross a road is to cross when it’s safe to do so. Anyone with a brain could understand that. If it’s not safe to cross the road you use a traffic light or pedestrian crossing and press the button if it’s necessary to stop traffic. Only an imbecile would press the button to stop traffic unnecessarily. Unfortunately there are a lot of such imbeciles roaming UK roads which doesn’t help the traffic problems. It exacerbates them - hence in London you have the ridiculous situation of average bus speeds falling below 9mph. The reason for this is too many unused cycle lanes, especially the ones with the silly wands and moronic pedestrians unnecessarily pressing buttons to cross roads. |
