I've seen figures quoted that the number of buses travelling along Chiswick High Road is down by about 30% over the last five years. This should have speeded things up a bit because there would be less waiting for stops to be cleared. However, bus speeds seem to have generally slowed looking at TfL data on routes (which is not Chiswick specific). At the same time you would assume they have also become more crowded. This deterioration in the standard of the service needs to be reversed. |
