The data was from multiple FOIs which asked for westbound data, presumably to examine if the evening peak, which has the longest delays, had got worse. Certainly the westbound direction has seen more changes from C9 so it's reasonable to think it might be more likely to be impacted. In fact TfL's monitoring report they released last year showed that eastbound bus times had increased, not westbound, and the increase started in June 2020. Yes, it is odd that 2020 is higher, but looking at the weekly averages, this was down to increased delays in the first half of that three-month period common period of the FOIs, from August to October. But bus times were consistently better in 2023 compared to 2019 over this three-month period. |
