I’m not surprised you find this difficult to believe if you think that there are cycle lanes on every bus route in Ealing and Hounslow. https://conservativehome.com/2024/12/04/andrew-gilligan-conservatives-wont-win-in-london-by-opposing-bike-lanes-and-low-traffic-neighbourhoods/ Cycle lanes and LTNs occupy a tiny fraction of road space in London but all of the headspace of carbrained velophobes. Contrary to Mark’s claims TfL introduced new bus priority routes during the pandemic . Every one of them bitterly opposed by some drivers Not least Bishopsgate when the cabbies took TfL to court and inspired OneChiswick to blow more than £50k on their failed JR. They could not stop the installation of a new bus priority route in the centre of Chiswick during the pandemic either. When drivers call for buses to be prioritised they do not mean over by far the most important factor causing bus delays: private cars. |
