| Do you know, I've managed to walk for over 50 years without ever getting run down by a cyclist on a pavement. The closest I've come to being hit as a cyclist was the other day when I'd driven home, got out of my car, was crossing the road without paying attention, and didn't realise until the last moment (when I heard the sound of the cycle) that I was about to walk into the path of a cyclist. Luckily, I stopped and flinched back, and all was well, but it would have been my fault if the cyclist had gone into me. Guess I must just be lucky eh? |
